#OMKindle Marvelous Monday title image

I hope everybody had a great weekend; I know I did! I ordered a cosmetic bag and nightgown from OnMyKindle's Zazzle store because I am curious to see how closely those items match the images shown in the store.

I also rounded out the collection of stationery items in the Semicolon Butterfly collection by adding address labels. Kyle and I plan to order a batch of the address labels soon, so stay tuned to see what I think of them.

In addition to designing the address labels, I also created a new collection:

The Equality collection also includes postcards, keychains, postage stamps, and hats; basically, swag items that organizations might use for fundraising.

Of course, all work and no play make me a dull and grumpy person, so I indulged a marathon gaming session and played one of my favorite games, Civilization V. While I was at it, I decided to check out the gameplay video that was released at E3 for Civilization VI.

I am a bit disappointed by what I saw. The gameplay and user interface on Civ VI looks fantastic, but I am really not a fan of the artwork. It looks very "cartoony" to me, and it reminds me of the artwork that I see on simulation games for mobile devices. The artwork on Civ V is more realistic, and I like it better; even though it is sometimes difficult to see when I am playing the game on the Steam machine that we have hooked up to our television.

I am also not a big fan of how the leaders of the different civilizations are portrayed. I think it is meant to poke fun at them, but it seems just shy of disrespectful and distasteful. I am withholding judgment until it is released, but I am not sure if I want to spend $60 plus who knows how much for the cost of the expansion packs.

Read, Pending Review

Even though I indulged in gaming this past weekend, I did get quite a bit of reading done last week:

Indiana Belle by John A. Heldt, Pending to be reviewed by On My Kindle Book Reviews.      Arctic Dawn (The Norse Chronicles, Book 2) by Karissa Laurel, Pending to be reviewed by On My Kindle Book Reviews.

To be Reviewed

Since Kyle will have the week of July 4th off, I will continue to publish two book reviews a week and post reviews on book sites as I finish reading them. I want to keep posting content on the blog during the week of the 4th, but I do not want to spend most of that week reading and writing reviews.

Here are the books that I will publish reviews for this week:

Super Sporty 5 by Ellie Firestone, to be reviewed by On My Kindle Book Reviews.      Fangs for the Memories by D.R. Perry, to be reviewed by On My Kindle Book Reviews

To be Read

I have already started reading the first book on my TBR list, so I may end up starting on a third book this week. I will just have to see how this week plays out.

She Never Got to Say Goodbye, Ica Iova, to be read by On My Kindle Book Reviews
When Olivia trades her promising career for a more domestic lifestyle as a wife and mother, she expects many things but never to see ghosts much less be one. Her life with her handsome husband, Brandon, a successful criminal lawyer, starts as a happy one, but following a tragedy, guilt, alcohol and drugs crush their blissful world in a hurry. One minute Olivia is planning to leave the marriage and the next she's floating at the foot of her son's bed. Dead. Murdered. And all evidence points to Brandon as the prime suspect. She is angry and determined to make him pay, but soon, she learns that she if she wants justice, she must follow the clues that reach back into Brandon's past. Suspenseful, romantic and awash in the afterlife thrill, She Never Got To Say Goodbye captures the power of love and friendship.
I reviewed one of Ica Iova's books almost a month ago and I really liked it. I was thrilled when she asked me to review this supernatural fiction novel.

Next up, I have the third installment of the Paranormal Detectives series, Life Sentence, by Lily Luchesi.

Life Sentence, Paranormal Detectives, Lily Luchesi, to be read by On My Kindle Book Reviews
After the disastrous events with Miranda have subsided, Danny and Angelica have to adjust to a new kind of life at the Paranormal Investigative Division.

Fiona is still on the loose, and she has all of Hell on her side. Danny begins to enhance his psychic abilities with the help of a soul just like his. Angelica is caught between a rock and a very dark place.

Can their love survive these new trials, or will the past tear them apart?
Lily Luchesi has not revealed the cover yet, but she will soon and I will be able to share it with in July. To make sure that you do not miss out on seeing the cover as soon as it is revealed, subscribe to my newsletter!

Last week was a busy week for me, how was your week? Have you checked out OnMyKindle's Zazzle store? What do you think of the collections? Let me know in the comments.

Have a super week!
