#OMKindle, Marvelous Monday, July 18th, On My Kindle Book Reviews

Last week was a busy week for me. In addition to reading, I am in the process of setting up the On My Kindle store on CafePress.

Four days after a Zazzle Support Team member on Twitter assured me that s/he would look into my problem personally, I received a response saying that my problem was forwarded to the Content Management Team. This is the same department that has not responded to the email I sent 11 days ago asking for further clarification about my first Equality design and has yet to respond to the inquiry I made nine days ago about my second Equality design.

I really did not want to shut down my store on Zazzle because I liked the design program's user interface (UI) and website. It was intuitive, it was easy to add designs to products, and their website was fast. However, I would rather re-work and resize my designs, and deal with a clunky UI than to deal with a company that ignores misogyny and inequity within its ranks.

I am in the process of re-working my designs and adding them to products on CafePress. Hopefully, I will have the On My Kindle store up and running by Monday of next week, so stay tuned to learn more about the store's grand opening!

I also want to take a moment to thank E.M. McIntyre, Jessica Marie Baumgartner, Pete Alex Harris, Mike Johnson, Jalal Marian, Joseph Long, and my husband for their support. There were times when I felt discouraged and was doubting myself, but your support helped me to persevere.

To be Reviewed

With having to re-work all of my designs for the move to CafePress, it was a good thing that I added only one book to my TBR list last week!

Awad Sharar, She Promised the Moon, On My Kindle Book Reviews

I know that the author is anxious to see what I thought of his book, so I am glad that I managed to finish it for him yesterday.

To be Read

As much as I would like to reveal the store by Monday of next week, I also want to honor the promises that I made to authors to read and review their books as soon as possible. With that in mind, I have two books on my TBR list this week:

First up is Valcarion: Sacrifices, a debut fantasy epic by Luke Edison.

Luke Edison, Valcarion, Sacrifices, On My Kindle Book Reviews
Valcarion: Sacrifices is an enthralling adventure from the start as readers are cast into the expansive fantasy world of Frais. A tale of great battles, loyalty, and sacrifice is told through the eyes of Valcarion Theoron, an orphan from the age of three, who is well acquainted with the deep-cutting consequences of the war that has been ravaging his world. Until the age of sixteen, however, Valcarion was seen by the world around him as unimportant; just another body on a quickly changing planet. As the story unfolds, Valcarion’s past troubles and worries are swiftly forgotten when he finds a mysterious sword: one of the legendary Blades of Seraphic. From the moment Valcarion touches the decorated hilt, he is forever changed. In a world full of lore and mystery, Valcarion will need something more than luck to rise to the challenges he faces as a young wielder. Unknown to Valcarion, the only other dangerously powerful blade is held by none other than the malevolent king, Grostine, who leads a battle hardened army in a campaign of darkness.

As war begins to affect Valcarion on an increasingly personal level by claiming his remaining family and threatening his freedom, the young hero has his dedication and strength of character tested at every turn. Though loyal friends join his cause along the way, in the end it is Valcarion who has to decide just how much he is truly willing to sacrifice.
The next book on my TBR list this week is a children's book by Madge H. Gressley. I really enjoyed her young adult mystery novel, so I am curious to see what this book has in store for young readers.

Madge H. Gressley, Totally Terrible Tommy, On My Kindle Book Reviews
Totally Terrible Tommy is a little boy who thinks that in order for people to notice him he has to be totally terrible. Find out how Grandfather helps him turn into Totally Terrific Tommy.
Even though I will not be writing much on the blog this week, I will still be busy getting my designs ready for a new store. What are you doing this week; reading, writing, working, or hustling on a side job? Let me know in the comments!

Here is hoping that you have a marvelous Monday and a super week!
