Intro to Flashback Fridays

Friday, December 23, 2016

I've been reviewing books for almost two years now, and have read some amazing books during the course of those two years.

I decided to start highlighting the books that I've really enjoyed for a couple of reasons:

First, some of the amazing books that I've reviewed have changed. Some have been re-edited while others have new covers. In self-publishing, it can be tough to come up with the funds to create an eye-catching cover. Sometimes authors need to sell a few copies of their books before they can hire an editor or find someone to create an amazing cover; sometimes they just don't have the connections to find a good editor or cover art illustrator at first, but find one after they've been in the world of self-publishing for a while.

Second, On My Kindle has gained new followers since the beginning of my journey. Some of the books that I've reviewed may have been overlooked by these new followers because they are buried beneath current reviews. Also, my social media skills have improved and some of these books may not have gotten the time in the spotlight that they deserve.

Each Friday, I'm going to share a book that I really enjoyed from the ones that I've reviewed in the past. Think of "Flashback Fridays" as sort of an informal book club where I share books that I've really enjoyed and you can share your thoughts on those books if you've read them.

If you are a book blogger and want to join in on your blog, let me know. I'll get a blogroll going so that we can link back to each other and share each other's posts on social media.

Since we are coming up on a new year, I figured we could ring in the New Year on December 30th by looking back on one of my favorites. Which one will it be? You'll just have to come back and see for yourself, so keep an eye out for the hashtag #FlashbackFriday on TwitterFacebook, or G+.

Most of all, have some fun with it; I know that I will!
