Marvelous Monday, image by Comfreak on Pixabay, TBR, On My Kindle Book Reviews

I had a fun this past weekend. Kyle and I had our friend, Mike, over for his birthday. I made a ham and cheese quiche and whipped up a birthday cake for him. We hung out while I finished playing Final Fantasy X - HD Remastered and started on Final Fantasy X-2 - HD Remastered.

It's nice to take a break from reading and writing once in a while. It helps to clear the cobwebs out of my brain.

What I'm Reading Now

I'm working on a couple of reviews currently, so I'm not reading anything right now. This will change soon because I plan on diving into my TBR list for the week tonight.

Weekly TBR List

The Devil's Charity, Robert D. Turvil, TBR, On My Kindle Book Reviews

Can Charity be trusted?

She says her name change was to show her commitment to charity, yet she has a dark secret and darker purpose.
Ronald Foster sinks into her clutches after his memories have been ripped from his brain, when his whole existence is in meltdown – and she wants him.
To keep him close she calls on Susie and Dimple, but Ronald has a mission of his own. Faced with his obstinacy, these three women ruthlessly exploit his greed, pride and lust – driving him to murder.

Ronald's gamble

Against the odds, Ronald persists in his quest for vengeance, totally unaware that he’s staked his life on a bet. In the end, Charity is unmasked and Ronald forced to confront realities beyond his comprehension. His response is to tell his story – to warn anyone who’ll listen.

Bad Bloods, November Rain, Shannon A. Thompson, TBR, On My Kindle Book Reviews

Seventeen-year-old Serena isn’t human. She is a bad blood, and in the city of Vendona, bad bloods are executed. In the last moments before she faces imminent death, a prison guard aids her escape and sparks a revolt. Back on the streets determined to destroy her kind, Serena is spared by a fellow bad blood named Daniel. His past tragedies are as equally mysterious as her connection to them.

Unbeknownst to the two, this connection is the key to winning the election for bad bloods’ rights to be seen as human again. But Serena is the only one who can secure Vendona’s vote. Now, Daniel must unite with her before all hope is lost and bad bloods are eradicated, even if it means exposing secrets worse than death itself. United or not, a city will fight, rain will fall, and all will be threatened by star-crossed love and political corruption.
This is a week for coincidences! The antagonist in The Devil's Charity shares my name and the protagonist in Bad Bloods has the same name as a family member. I'm eager to see exactly how bad my "namesake" is!

What are you reading this week? Let me know in the comments.

Have a marvelous Monday and a spectacular week!
