#MarvelousMonday, TBR, currently reading, On My Kindle Book Reviews

In case you didn't notice, I've changed the blog header and logo for On My Kindle.

I did this for two reasons: first, I figured it was time for an update. Second, I am going to attend the Ozarks Indie Book Fest in October and I needed some new business cards to hand out since I changed my last name back to my maiden name. My old batch of business cards were supposed to look like little Kindle devices; however, that didn't turn out so well. After several unsuccessful attempts to create a new batch of business cards to look like little Kindle devices, I said "screw it" and decided to go a different route. Here's what I came up with:

In other news: Lexi is eating twice a day for the most part. We've gone back to crushing up her Benadryl and adding it to her food; however, I came up with a neat "pill pocket" treat that consists of about 1/8 cup baby rice cereal, 1 Tablespoon natural peanut butter, a teaspoon of honey, and a splash of water. I'm thinking of adding pumpkin, banana, or applesauce to it and baking it to come up with some natural, bite-sized treats for her. I'll let you know what comes of that experiment.

Remember how I mentioned that I had a new phone with a better camera, and I'd be sharing more photos of Lexi? Above are some of the photos we took of her last week. Starting from the top left: Lexi after going to the groomer's, Lexi reveling in the toys that she enjoys the most, Lexi being lazy while licking, and Lexi demonstrating her version of "dead dog" pose. My personal favorite is the one I snapped of her when she was being lazy, and I was lucky enough to catch her when she decided to lick her nose.

All of these photos demonstrate how she's blossomed from the shy, timid little girl that I saw back in September into the opinionated little princess that she is now!

I know, discussions about Lexi are fun and all; however, you're probably wondering what I've been reading.

#MarvelousMonday, The Prophecy by Petra Landon, Currently Reading, On My Kindle Book Reviews,

I know, I know... I was reading this book last week. I didn't get as much reading done last week as I would've liked, so I'm about 30-percent into it. I'm going to try to get this read by Wednesday so I can review it. If I don't get it read by Wednesday, I hope to have a review for you by Friday at the latest.

#MarvelousMonday, Currently Reading, Hannah's Moon, John A. Heldt, On My Kindle Book Reviews

Once I'm finished with The Prophecy, I'll start reading Hannah's Moon right away. Hopefully, I can share it with you next week.

The Soul Mate Tree, A Promise Remembered, Erin S. Riley, TBR, #MarvelousMonday, On My Kindle Book Reviews

Two souls entangled in an eternal echo of true love . . .

Rowan and James have been drawn together in every existence since the beginning of time. But love's sweet promise is cut short after an unthinkable tragedy strikes two young families, shattering the bond in this lifetime.

Is love stronger than death? Can Rowan and James find another way to each other? Against all odds, a forgotten promise is remembered and kept, reuniting two souls destined to be together.

This book hasn't been released yet, but you can pre-order it on Amazon by clicking the cover's image above. I was lucky enough to catch up with Erin S. Riley on Twitter and she offered me a copy of the book. I'm really excited to read another book by her because I was pretty bummed when she completed her Sons of Odin trilogy

What do you think of my new business cards? Is "The Many Faces of Lexi" a work of art, or do I need to go back to the drawing board? Shout it out to me in the comments.

Have a marvelous Monday and a spectacular, kick-butt week!
