Marvelous Monday, TBR, currently reading, On My Kindle Book Reviews

After a few months, I think I'm getting the hang of reading on my busy schedule! The trick seems to be running errands and going to the laundromat on Fridays so that I have very little to do on Saturdays and Sundays.

Speaking of running around and doing errands... I finally got my new social security card in the mail and changed my name on my driver's license so that I can change my name at the bank, insurance company, cell phone company, work, etc... It's really a pain in the butt to get one's name changed and I'm happy that the waiting and running around part of it is almost done. Even though I have other challenges to overcome in the process of moving on (like an enormous credit card bill), I feel a sense of achievement in completing one more step in the process.

I've also come to the conclusion that if I marry again, I'm not changing my name. Doing so twice in a lifetime is more than enough for me!

Divorce and debt worries aside, I managed to get quite a bit of reading done and I'm anxious to share the books I've been reading with you.

Currently Reading

Harables 2, Haidji, currently reading, On My Kindle Book Reviews
Haidji, author of SG Suicide Game, Life into Mist, Fancy & Adriaan, Harables - Short Stories 1 and Ines' Words now brings us Harables - Short Stories 2, with fifteen new stories. Each story showcases Haidji's unique voice and imagery, including "The Gondola Walker," "Lob's Castle," "The Blue Spot," "Final Destination" and "Candles." True to Haidji's form, this book is beautiful and magical. You'll want to read each story more than once, to uncover all Haidji's meanings. Entering Haidji's world, you will find hope, love and wonderful mysteries.
Haidji sent me print copies of this and another book ages ago and I'm glad that I finally have a chance to read them! I'll be reading and sharing her other book with you in a few weeks.

Up Next

The Collector, Rhett C. Bruno, Up Next, TBR

Malcolm Graves lives by two rules: finish the job, and get paid.

In this prequel novella to Rhett C. Bruno's Award-winning TITANBORN, join Malcolm on a mission gone awry. After twenty years as a Collector for Pervenio Corp., chasing bounties and extinguishing rebellions throughout the solar system, he is on a routine pickup job for a wealthy offworlder heir who ran away from home. But when a mad scientist get's his hands on the bounty, Malcolm gets caught up in a twisted plot to develop working androids.
I will also be reading a book written by an author I've worked with before. However, he's asked me to share my thoughts with him privately before he releases the book. Rest assured, once the book is released, I'll share it with you!

This week's question is: What do you think of the name-changing process? Did you find it burdensome or simple? What do you think of the growing trend of women keeping their maiden names after they've been married? Let me know in the comments.

Here's hoping you had a marvelous Monday and that your week brings you joy and delight!
