#MarvelousMonday, On My Kindle Book Reviews, Currently Reading, TBR

I snapped this picture of Lexi a while back for an Instagram post and thought I'd share it with you because she seems to be asking, "Mommy, what book are we reading next?"

It was a busy weekend for Lexi. On Saturday, Mike and I took Lexi to Petco for a wellness fair and received a voucher to get most of her vaccinations done for free. She still needs to see her regular vet for her annual wellness exam, but getting the vaccinations for free will help to minimize the cost of her annual exam. Then, on Sunday, we took her to the park yesterday where she ran us around for 40 minutes. It's been so hot here lately that we just haven't been able to take her, so we all got some sorely needed exercise at the park.

Lately, I've been reading faster than I can write reviews! It looks like I'll be sharing reviews twice a week for a while. Also, if I am able to go back to a former employer, I'll be changing up my posting schedule to reflect my new work hours. If the posting times change, I will make sure to let you know.

Death Before Daylight, Shannon A. Thompson, TBR
Two eternities. One ending.

"Harmony would only come with destruction."

The moment Eric and Jessica are reunited, they are torn apart. After the appearance of a new breed of shades and lights, the powers shift for the worse, and all three descendants find themselves face-to-face in the Light realm. When Darthon is in control, the last thing everyone expects is to finally hear the truth.

While Jessica learns the reason of her creation, Darthon's identity is exposed to Eric―and only Eric―and Eric can no longer defend himself. With the eternities of the Light and the Dark resting on Jessica's shoulders, she must choose who she will be―a light or a shade.

In the end, someone must die, and the end is near.

The White Raven, Carrie Miller, TBR
In her thirteenth life, Aven has settled into the now witchcraft-friendly Salem where she has found true happiness and friendship, maybe even love. Despite her contentment, the truth of Aven's existence haunts her. When she dies, her Spirit is forced from the Veil to live again in the body of a stranger.

Does the elusive white raven, who has shadowed Aven through each of her lives, hold the secret to her release--or is it the cause?

To make matters worse, an unrelenting, twisted evil from Aven's past lurks closely behind her. Sustained by his hatred of the witch, he won't give up until she's paid for what she did to him.

When the truth of Aven's connection to the white raven is revealed, it is more horrifying than she could ever have imagined.

Her freedom will come at a terrible price. And even then, will she truly be free?
So, tomorrow is my appointment at the Social Security office for the non-medical, income portion of my SSI and SSD application. Wish me luck!
