Give Lexi a Treat!

Lexi Rowell

I've had a few authors ask me how they can show their appreciation and I really don't know how to respond. I don't like accepting monetary compensation; this not only violates Amazon's Terms of Service if I post a book review, but it also feels a bit sleazy.

Inspired by bloggers who ask their followers who wish to show support and appreciation to buy them a cup of coffee, I came up with "Give Lexi a treat!" If you have been following On My Kindle for a while, then you know a bit about her past and how much she means to me. She has made such a positive impact on my life!

I've put together an ongoing list of things on Amazon that I need/want for Lexi. It's mostly odds and ends of small things for grooming, vanity items, and products I'd like to try on her. I've included comments to explain my thought process and most of the items on the list are $10 or less. The more expensive items are on the list as a reminder to myself, and I'm a participant in a marketing research group that gives me an Amazon gift card once a month. I'm saving those gift cards up to buy the pricier items for her.

You may notice that there aren't a lot of toys on the list. That's because she's really picky about what she'll play with. She's very wary of toys that squeak and the only time she plays with the crinkle toy I bought for her is at night when I'm trying to sleep. She won't touch the darn thing during the day!

Anyway, if you decide to give Lexi a treat, we appreciate it. In return, I'll email you a greeting card that includes a cute picture of Lexi with the gift you sent. You can click on the cute picture below to navigate to my wishlist.
