All of us touch another person's life. Hopefully when we do, that touch will help to build a bridge of understanding. This short story collection contains the stories of three people and how they built life bridges that changed life for the better.

Life Bridges is a collection of three short stories with unique premises, characters, and circumstances:

The first story is about a Black nurse who saves the life of a family that live in a predominantly White community. Her kindness and her ability to forgive touches the family and sends ripples throughout the entire community.

The second story discusses an arrogant man who is caught driving drunk one night and is sentenced to perform community service in a rehabilitation center that helps disabled individuals. After being in an accident that almost kills him, he is paralyzed and must seek help from the very center he reviled.

The third story introduces us to a group of homeless people who work together to create some semblance of family and comfort. However, their world is shattered by a serial killer who preys upon the homeless. An undercover police officer and a reporter work with this small group of individuals to find the killer and uncover his motive.

Each expertly crafted story invites readers to take a look at themselves and recognize their impact on other people's lives. With a hopeful tone and unique characters, Winn has created three true-to-life stories to inspire her readers. While I enjoyed all three stories, I particularly enjoyed the third story and thought that with a little fleshing out, it would make an excellent novel. The twist at the end was particularly interesting and I thought that Winn did an excellent job of keeping it a mystery until the very end.

Winn did a fantastic job with all three stories and their premises! Readers will see the worst in humanity and humanity at its best, the irony of life, and a suspenseful story all in one place. If you have not had a chance to read any of Winn's books, this is a great introduction to her style of writing!
