A young man, Ron, is found dead. The authorities say he hung himself. Mandy, knows that can't be true. She also finds she carries Ron's child and has to find the truth of what happened. What she uncovers, is a conspiracy that has repercussions for the child she carries. Both of their lives will be changed forever and maybe the rest of mankind as well.

When Ron is found dead, Mandy cannot believe that he took his own life. Pregnant with Ron's child, Mandy decides to look into the circumstances surrounding Ron's death. When one of Ron's co-workers is also found dead, Mandy is convinced that the two deaths are connected and begins looking for answers.

Mandy's investigation uncover a shocking conspiracy that will change her and her child's lives.

Realities is a compelling mix of mystery, conspiracy theory, science fiction, and love story. The plot moves forward quickly, but not at the expense of character development. The characters are not fully developed; however, they are developed enough to get a sense of their personalities and their circumstances so that readers will be drawn to the protagonists.

Given its length, the premise is surprisingly complex. Winn manages to make it seem simple and guides her readers to the conclusion without losing them in a maze of tangents. If Winn was decorating a room with her words, the design would look minimalistic at first glance; however, upon closer inspection, one would see that each piece in the room was a study in complexity.

It is always a treat to read her books, and I am happy to say that Realities was no exception!

I am an avid writer, reader and reviewer. I am constantly with a book whether mine or someone else's. Because I love to read, I find that I am always thinking of my readers when I write and thanking them for what they add to my books. Their imagination added to mine complete the story.
