Sporty and Harley must face their deadliest enemy yet. Will they succeed in saving the world? Or will evil prevail once and for all?

Just released today, December 28th, this last installment of the Super Sporty series introduces a new villain that is bigger, uglier, and more evil than the villains that Sporty and Harley have faced thus far.

Sporty and Harley find themselves teaming up with villains from the past in an alternate universe where their superhero counterparts are actually supervillains! Can Sporty and Harley defeat themselves and return to their universe to save Earth before it's too late?

Miss Firestone has saved the best for last! From the beginning to the end, this book contains highly entertaining action and adventure that appeals to even the most discerning of readers.

In this last adventure, it is even more apparent that Sporty and Harley have very distinct personalities and philosophies on how to handle certain dilemmas. Sporty is conservative, logical, and likes to look before she leaps; Harley is brash, bold, and is prone to go in with guns blazing. The two personalities balance each other out nicely in this action-packed adventure.

The dialogue in the story is witty and clever; encouraging kids to expand their vocabularies in a context that makes learning fun. The illustrations that Miss Firestone created are an adorable and colorful addition to the story, and further demonstrate that kids are not "just kids;" they can be writers, artists, or even superheroes that save the world in suits that look like pajamas.

The final battle at the very end is epic and ends on a rather ironic note. Rather than taking all of the credit for themselves, Sporty and Harley recognize that teamwork saved the day and demonstrate the merit of good sportsmanship by ensuring that everyone receives praise for their efforts.

Super Sporty 9: The Wrath of Titanicus by Ellie Firestone is an engaging book that the whole family can enjoy, regardless of reading and vocabulary level.

About Ellie Firestone

Ellie Firestone lives in Texas with her family, two dogs, and a whole host of fictional characters. At various times in her life she has wanted to be an astronaut, a cowgirl, a ninja, a superhero, and an explorer. However, once she realized that a writer can be all of those things at once, she never looked back.

Ellie loves horses, swimming, and reading. When she's not writing, she can often be found at the stables, in the pool, or curled up on the sofa with a good book.
If you have not had a chance to check out the Super Sporty series, you can download the first book in the series for $0.99 and grab two Super Sporty short stories for free!

Connect with Ellie Firestone!

There is a part of me that is sad to see that we have reached the end of the Super Sporty series. Ellie was the first children's book author who reached out to me when I first struck out on my own and solicited reviews from authors for this blog. I have had the opportunity to see firsthand how she and her writing have evolved and matured.

While she still plans to continue writing, I will always fondly remember my first exchange with Ellie and how I was introduced to two superhero horses named "Sporty" and "Harley." Ellie and her superhero horses will always hold a special place in my heart, even when their journeys take them elsewhere.
