Marvelous Monday with Lexi

I hope everyone had a happy Easter or a great April Fool's Day yesterday. Lexi and I stayed inside for most of the day as the weather took a turn for the worse with cold rain and sleet.

I'm unemployed, again. I was hoping to find another job before I left the shoe store, but I made the decision to leave before finding a new job. The levels of negativity and duplicity exceeded what I can tolerate before they have a negative effect on me emotionally, physically, and mentally. While it's a shame that the job didn't work out, I learned a lot about my triggers and patterns of thinking during my time there so my psychologists and I could address them in therapy. I also based my decision on personal ethics and logical reasoning, rather than anxiety and anger, so it's definitely an improvement and I'm excited to find new opportunities to grow with my next employer!

Even though this decision is a positive thing, I am feeling restless on the days that I used to work. This will pass and I'm trying to focus that energy on finding a job, getting a few things done around the house, and spending more time with Lexi. Speaking of Lexi, this sudden change in her routine has thrown her for a loop but she is enjoying the extra time and attention that she's getting from me.
