Terrific Tuesday with Lexi!

Terrific Tuesday with Lexi by On My Kindle BR

I hope you had a marvelous Monday. Mommy decided not to let me post yesterday because she shared a review of The Talisman of Darktree Hollow by E.M. McIntyre. She said it was only fair of me to wait until today because other authors get at least one full day in the spotlight on the blog.

Whatcha think of the picture of me? Since it wasn't insanely hot outside, I got to help Uncle Mike take Mommy to work. I was so happy and made all kinds of cute and funny faces, and Mommy decided to take pictures of me as I was helping Uncle Mike drive her to work.

In case you can't tell, my hair has become healthier and thicker now that I don't have a nasty yeast infection to contend with. It's growing out quite nicely and my groomer, Miss Ashley, will have plenty to cut when I see her next week. I had a nasty allergy attack last week because I helped Uncle Mike take Mommy to see her psychologist, and I walked into some really tall grass. Mommy fed me honey water and a cough suppressant, plus half of a Benadryl twice a day, to relieve the symptoms and I was back to my bouncy self in a couple of days. She also bathed me again to get all of the allergens out of my hair so I wouldn't be so itchy. The Seresto collar that my vet recommended seems to be doing the trick because I haven't had any issues with fleas and I didn't have a bad reaction to the collar.

Mommy is... well, being Mommy. She's still having a rough time of things and her IBS has been flaring up something fierce lately. She had to call in sick on Sunday because of it, and she wasn't too happy about it. She's considering a suggestion her psychologist made about living on her own. He told her that one of the behavioral clinics in town had several independent living facilities for low-income people with long-term mental illnesses, and said that it might be a feasible option for her. She's going to call them soon and find out if she qualifies.

THE MEMORY TREE by John A. Heldt
Days after barely escaping 1889 with their lives, the Carsons, siblings from the present day, resume their search for their missing parents in 1918. While Adam and his pregnant wife, Bridget, settle in Minnesota, unaware of a wildfire that will kill hundreds, Greg seeks clues in his great-grandparents' Mexico, where he finds love, danger, and enemies. At the same time, Natalie, the ambitious journalist, follows a trail to World War I France, and teen twins Cody and Caitlin rekindle a friendship with an old Pennsylvania friend haunted by her past. In THE MEMORY TREE, the sweeping sequel to RIVER RISING, several time travelers find answers and meaning as they continue the adventure of a lifetime in the age of doughboys, silent movies, and Model T's.

Up Next

Mommy is waiting for the cover reveal and ARC for Defiance, the third book in "The Aerturnum Chronicles" by H.G. Chambers. However, she has a couple more books to read on her list while she's waiting:

I know, the reading lists haven't changed. It's because Mommy has been working on re-opening her store, Mindful Humanism! She didn't like the prices over at TeePublic but she didn't like how her designs looked on CafePress, so she went back to Zazzle. She still has several products she designed and bought from them and she was impressed with how her designs looked on the products. She's hoping that her past history with them is water under the bridge and figures that if she refrains from adding her designs to postage-related stuff (stamps, envelopes, return address labels), she should be good to go.

Silly Skeletons Batty Ghosts Witchy Cats

Mommy is still working on the store, but she has all of her Halloween designs up. She likes the "Silly Skeletons" for its simplicity and the "Batty Ghosts"  because it reminds her of Halloween in the 1970's. Her inspiration for the designs was the "ugly" Christmas sweater trend. She figured, why wait until Christmas to have fun?

That's all for now! I hope you had a marvelous Monday, have a terrific Tuesday, and rock it out this week!
