Marvelous Monday with Lexi!

Marvelous Monday TBR post for December 10, 2018

Hi humans! It may be cold outside, but I'm ever so toasty-oasty wrapped in my blankie.

Mommy hasn't heard back from the person she interviewed with the week before last at the Head Start program. She was supposed to hear something last week, and her attempts to contact the person have not yielded any results. Mommy is disappointed because she hasn't heard back from the Head Start program but life goes on, and so does the job hunt.

To add to Mommy's stress, somebody broke into her PayPal account and tried to transfer $1,000 from her bank account into her PayPal account. I guess the person thought they'd be able to get back into Mommy's PayPal account after the $1,000 was transferred in. Mommy tried to cancel this unauthorized transaction but PayPal told her that it was already pending with her bank. They locked down her account and told her that they would pay any overdraft fees charged by her bank. At this point, Mommy's concern is that her bank's fees are going to really pile up. She's going to have who-knows-how-many overdraft fees, which cause her account to have a negative balance, and then she's going to be charged fees because her account has a negative balance.

Between this and Mommy's current living situation, she's having a hard time coping. Mommy is going to see her caseworker this Wednesday, and hopefully learn more about the process of finding new living arrangements; preferably moving away from whiney-butts who complain a lot, won't let her vent, give somebody's wants greater priority over her needs, and then get all butt-hurt when she gets to the point where she is just over it.

This is why dogs hide sometimes; they get to a point where they are over it, so they just walk away and hang out where it's hard for humans to find them. Mommy needs to do the same thing, and I have a couple of places in mind where she can hide with me for a bit. Problem solved!

Currently Reading

You know what's really cool about her hiding out with me? She can read and not be interrupted by whiney-butt humans and their drama that really isn't hers to deal with.

Lily Luchesi, Day of Execution release day party on Facebook

The cover for this book hasn't been revealed yet, so we don't have a blurb for it. However, Mommy is pretty excited about reading Day of Execution since she's been following the "Paranormal Detectives Series" by Lily Luchesi for a few years now.

Up Next

THE LOST GIRLS OF PARIS by Pam Jenoff on Goodreads    THE END OF MAY by K.B. Richards on Goodreads

That's it for this week. I know things will work out, they always do, but it's tough to see Mommy struggle with it. I'm off to take care of Mommy now. Have a marvelous Monday and a spectacular week!
