Marvelous Monday with Lexi!

February 4th Edition

Marvelous Monday with Lexi: February 4th Edition!

It seems like last week just flew by! Even though Mommy had a snow day off for work, last week felt busy to me.

Mommy and I are starting out the week with an air of uncertainty. Remember when I told you how Mommy had applied for housing assistance with an organization that helps people like her with long-term mental illness? Well, her caseworker didn't refer her to the organization's housing program. Instead, she had her fill out an application for low-income housing through a federal program.

On Friday of last week, the housing director she met with told Mommy that she was approved. Mommy and Uncle Mike are going to look at an apartment in the complex the program plans to house her in today. All we know is that Mommy's psychologist signed the form verifying that I'm an emotional support animal so Mommy doesn't have to pay a $200 deposit for me. We have no idea how much Mommy's rent will be and if Mommy will have regular access to the internet. If Mommy doesn't have regular access to the internet, we'll have to adjust the posting schedule for the blog. However, we'll let you know as soon as we can if we need to make any changes.

Mommy is understandably anxious about the thought of living on her own. Uncle Mike and I are pointing out the positive aspects of this, and we are encouraging her to view this as an experiment to see if she is able to live on her own.

Find WORLDS BENEATH by K.A. Emmons on Goodreads!  Find DROPS OF SUNSHINE by Tricia Copeland on Goodreads!

Depending on how today's apartment tour goes, Mommy might need to take more time off than she initially anticipated. We'll let you know one way or another in next week's "Marvelous Monday" post. Mommy is also going to try to maintain her Kindle Unlimited subscription so she can support the indie authors she writes reviews for.

My left hind knee and hip are giving me some problems with the cold weather we've had lately. Mommy plans on switching me to a senior diet this week to see if a senior diet plus supplements will help. I hope it will because the Carprofen (Mommy says it's like ibuprofen for dogs) tastes icky.

Here's hoping you have a marvelous Monday and a spectacular week!

Licks and wags,
