Marvelous Monday with Lexi!

August 19th Edition

Marvelous Monday with Lexi: August 19th Edition

Hello, again humans! Did you know that today is "National Potato Day?" I don't know too much about potatoes since most of the food I eat doesn't contain potato.

I have one more week until the stitches come out, and I'm looking forward to it. The vet called Mommy and told her that the tumors were benign but they weren't what she thought they were. She told Mommy that they were keratinized lesions but they were actually mammary tumors. You might be thinking, "A tumor is a tumor;" however, mammary tumors have a higher rate of malignancy and Mommy will have to take steps to ensure that she detects them early in the future.

Mommy ordered a new laptop and Kindle for herself, and she is expecting them to arrive tomorrow. She's really excited because the laptop is around four years old and the Kindle is about three. The laptop has a few issues that are getting worse and she wanted to get a new Kindle while she has the money to do so.

Mommy has been struggling with depression and anxiety for a few weeks now. She talked to her psychologist about it and he thinks that she's been dealing with a lot during the past couple of months, and he believes that other issues are becoming more apparent since Mommy isn't focusing on functioning in order to hold down a job. Mommy asked for a referral to a psychiatrist and he agreed that she might need some medication to help her in conjunction with the EMDR therapy. She's a little bummed about needing medication but she is glad that she made this decision of her own free will, rather than being pressured to do it.

 Up Next

As you know, Mommy's "Up Next" list is always changing. She says that if she promised to write a book review for you, she will get to it. She has several commitments this month and next month to review books before or by their release dates, so she has to make sure she finishes those on time.

Marvelous Monday with Lexi: August 19th Edition

Mommy says that she may not have a book review ready for you by this Thursday; however, she will definitely have one ready for next week. Since my stitches itch, I'm going to go and try to scratch them when Mommy isn't looking. Have a marvelous Monday and a fantastic week.
